Join playwright Rosamund Gravelle and emninet Marian Tudor historains Dr Johanna Strong and Dr Peter Stiffell as they discuss and explore how Britain's first female acknowledged ruler, Queen Mary 1st of England, cutlural depictions have changed over the century - from her portaits that were done during her lifetime to being branded "Bloody Mary" not long after her death, to being shown as a minor character - either a young child or teenager or as a weak and ill old woman in major films and TV series from the 1950s onwards - to being seen as a character of note and nauce in TV series such as Becoming Elizabeth and now Rosamund Gravelle's play Three Queens
