Iphigenia

Iphigenia, favourite and most beloved child of her mother and father, longs to escape her childhood and is bored in her home - the palace of Mycenae. Suddenly her father, Agamemnon summons her and her mother to Aulis - where the Greek army is encamped and seemingly stranded and unable to set off for Troy, to rescue Iphigenia's aunt Helen of Sparta - making Iphigenia overjoyed that she has come to marry the famed warrior Achilles and embark on the first step of her adult life.

However, events conspire and instead of the happy future Iphigenia envisions, Iphigenia's future is not the one she hopes for but instead will start the destruction of the House of Atreus.

The fourth play in The Fall Of The House Of Atreus sextet, where love and duty is tested, and futures and people are destroyed.
