The Tragedy Of Being A Fool

Plot Summary

Will Kempe is on a nine-days Morris Dancing wonder to Norwich from London when he decides to take a break. To keep warm and keep off boredom, and ever the entertainer, he talks about his life, hopes and fears and why he was cast out of a successful playing troupe. Famous as Falstaff, can Kempe realise and understand his own limitations, and avert his destiny of the tragedy of being a Fool in art and in life?

A play of pathos and hubris, a play about the joys of being a player and the fool, of the want of love and of trying to share your art with the world.
